DAMIEN HOOPER will look to take his perfect professional record to seven wins and seven knockouts when he faces South Korea's Young-Don Um on Wednesday night.

The 2012 London Olympian was due to face Josh Webb in Toowoomba derby last week, but the fight was scrapped at the eleventh hour after Webb sustained an injury in training.

But Jamie Mayer Promotions has agreed to add Hooper to his Fox-televised at the Jupiters Hotel and Casino in Broadbeach, Queensland and he intends on once again thrilling a national audience, especially has he's received some helpful tips from one of Australia's best.

"I'm happy to get this fight. I trained hard for the fight that was supposed to happen last week. Unfortunately my opponent got injured. I'm thankful to my team and my promoter, Ricky Hatton, and local promoter Jamie Myer, who have managed to put me on this Wednesday," Hooper, 22, said.

"I don't know anything about my opponent apart from that he's a southpaw. This is another step on my journey. It's live on Fox Sports and I can't wait to get in there and do the business.

"I was talking with Michael Katsidis during the week and he's really inspired me and given me some great advice for my future."

Matt Clark, Hooper's co-manager, said: "It's great to keep Damien active and especially to have his bout live on Fox Sports where fans can get another look at his talent.

"He'll give away a couple of kilos in weight, but we have confidence Damien's ability will negate that. It's very hard to match him locally, so no doubt we'll need to begin searching overseas, as we have with this bout."
