Manchester Arena, Manchester - British junior middleweight champion Dalton Smith (13-0, 10 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over mandatory challenger Kaisee Benjamin (16-2-1, 6 KOs).

The scores were 115-113, 117-111 and 116-113.

It was a very technical boxing match in the early going. Benjamin was slick and making Smith work very hard to land anything of note.

As the fight played out, some of the rounds were very close, but Smith was often shading them by landing more of the accurate punches. Benjamin had very good spells, in the eight and ninth. Due to his lack of real punching power, he was unable to make a dent on Smith.

Olympic heavyweight Frazer Clarke (4-0, 3 KOs) was forced to go the distance for the first time his career with a six round decision over veteran Kamil Sokolowski (11-27-3, 4 KOs). Sokolowski was very defensive during the round, rarely giving Clarke any openings to do damage.

The sole score was 60-54 by the referee.

For the English middleweight title, Tyler Denny (15-2-3, 0 KO) won a ten round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Bradley Rea (14-1, 5 KOs)

The scores were 95-94, 96-94, 97-92.

It was a very completive fight early on, but as the contest played out it was Denny who was landing the bigger shots and outworking Rea. Denny was too quick and too skilled. He was pounding Rea at times with hard shots, with Rea being forced to hold on.

In the ninth, Rea was able to badly hurt Denny with shots to the body, but Denny was able to weather the storm and continued forward by boxing until the final round.

In a battle of unbeatens, popular cruiserweight prospect Viddal Riley (7-0, 4 KOs) crushed an overmatched Ross McGuigan (3-1, 0 KO). Riley outpunched and outworked McGuigan with ease. In the third, a big right hand sent McGuigan down hard and the fight was quickly waved off.

In a shocker, trialhorse Jordan Ellison (13-44) picked up razor-close four round decision over undefeated junior welterweight prospect Dylan Cheema (7-1, 2 KOs). The sole score of 39-38 came from the referee.
