The fight for the vacant IBA light heavyweight title between Norwegian Tim-Robin Lihaug (19-4) and Argentinian Ruben Eduardo Acosta (37-37-5), that was set for October 26 in Bergen (Norway), is off.

As to why it's off, well, the strict rules that regulate professional boxing in Norway prevents 40+ boxers to fight and Acosta, age 41, was thus nixed.

There is a possibility to make exceptions providing that the fighter in question undergo extensive medical check ups but in this case the answer was 'no.' Lihaug will now fight an opponent to be announced on March 7 next year.
