Early fireworks are expected later today, when Premier Boxing Champions returns to NBC. From the StubHub Center in Carson, California, a twelve round featherweight showdown takes between Jesus Cuellar (26-1, 20 KOs) and Vic Darchinyan (40-7-1, 29 KOs). Their battle will support the afternoon's main event, which pits former world champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (32-3-1, 18 KOs) against Aron Martinez (19-3-1, 14 KOs).

Darchinyan has been talking loud all week, promising to demolish Cuellar and send him packing back to Argentina. Last year Darchinyan suffered a bad knockout at the hands of WBA featherweight champion Nicholas Walters. He hopes to bounce back today.

Cuellar has other plans. He looks to use a win over Darchinyan as a springboard to much bigger fights with other Al Haymon managed fighters like Abner Mares and Leo Santa Cruz.

"First Darchinyan, Then Leo Santa Cruz or Abner Mares, those are the fighters I'm targeting. "He can talk as much as he wants but we're going to fight and find out who is better on Saturday," Cuellar said.

"I'm very prepared and ready to represent Argentina. I trained hard and I'm ready to get in the ring. I've put in the hard work and I'm going to step inside the ring and showcase my talent for all of Argentina."
