Carlos "Principe" Cuadras is not oblivious to all of the statements being made by Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez during the last week or so.

Back in September, Chocolatito moved up in weight and won a twelve round decision over Cuadras to capture the Mexican fighter's WBC super flyweight world title in Los Angeles, California. The win wasn't easy, and Chocolatito's face was very swollen and bruised up, while Cuadras suffered very little physical damage.

With the victory Chocolatito made history by becoming the first boxer from Nicaragua to win four world titles in four weight divisions.

There is talk of the rematch taking place on March 18th, as part of the HBO Pay-Per-View undercard to the middleweight collision between Gennady Golovkin and Daniel Jacobs.

But Chocolatito is not happy with the financial terms being presented. He wants more money for the rematch. The first time around, Cuadras received $250,000 and Gonzalez pulled in $400,000.

Cuadras is not surprised with Chocolatito's financial demands, but he also wonders if there's a bit of fear involved.

The Mexican boxer has his own set of complaints. He wasn't happy with receiving less money, as the champion, in their first fight. Whatever Chocolatito gets paid for the rematch, Cuadras wants an identical sum.

There have been reports which claim that Chocolatito would like to secure $800,000 to $1 million for the second fight.

"I do not know if Roman is scaring or what's going through his mind. I also want to get paid well. I'm waiting for the fight," Cuadras said.

"He wants to get paid a lot of money because maybe he feels that I'm going to beat him in the second fight... maybe that's why he's asking for a lot. That is what I interpret. I gave Roman the opportunity when he was the flyweight champion, so I hope that he does not deny me the opportunity - because after the fight he said I deserved a rematch. If now Roman is backing away from that or he is frightening - it is not fair to me.... he took my undefeated record. I want to fight him, I hope he is not afraid and he does not back away."

"I'm going to ask for more money, because we deserve it. They take away a third (due to United States taxes) and we need to earn more so that we have a good amount of money left. In addition all of the preparation includes expenses. We do not play dolls, we through punches. Right now the only thing that I have on my mind is Chocolatito, because right now he has my belt and he took away my undefeated record."
