Mexican puncher Jose "Sugar" Salgado will challenge the super flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Carlos 'Prince' Cuadras on September 20 in Guamúchil, Sinaloa. Although initially it was said that the Philippine ex-world champion Sonny Boy Jaro would be the opponent for the month of September, BoxingScene.com reported a few days ago that Cuadras-Jaro was getting pushed back to a date in November. Salgado (34-2-1, 27 KOs) is on a run of eight wins, three of them won by knockout. For Cuadras (30-0, 24 KO's) it will be the first defense of his world title.
