Juan José "Goofy" Montes will be complemented with excellent training, thanks to the help of the super flyweight champion of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), Cristian Mijares. With a career mark of 19 wins, 17 of them by knockout, in exchange for a sole defeat, Juan José Montes will look to win the super flyweight championship of the World Boxing Council (WBC) from champion Tomas "Gusano" Rojas on May 21 in Chiapas.

Montes will pack his bags to travel next week to Durango, where he will join Mijares (41-6-2,18 KO's ) who prepares to defend his title against mandatory Raul "Cobra" Martinez on Saturday May 14 at the Palenque National Fair of Durango.

"I've seen him fight, Tomas Rojas is a fast fighter with excellent movement ... but poison kills poison, and I will beat him with speed and my powerful punch," Montes said.
