BoxingScene.com recently spoke with rising lightweight star Terence Crawford (21-0) about his upcoming fight against Andrey Klimov (16-0).  The fight will open up the October 5th HBO telecast that will be headlined by Miguel Cotto's fight against Delvin Rodriguez.

The Nebraska native said that he had a great camp and that they didn't do anything different to prepare for Klimov.

"Training camp is going great.  We aren't doing anything different than we usually do.  We are doing our regular routine," Crawford stated.

Klimov was able to defeat John Molina Jr. by negating his pressure tactics. He was able to frustrate Molina, who is a very aggressive offensive fighter, with his movement. Crawford said that he has studied his opponent and knows what to expect in the ring.

"I thought he did well against Molina.  He did what he had to do to get the job done.  He moves a lot and mixes it up in there.  He does a lot of different things in there that frustrate a lot of people if you aren't on your game," Crawford told BoxingScene.com.

The 25-year-old Crawford took a calculated risk when he moved up to the junior welterweight division to face tough Colombian puncher Breidis Prescott on short notice which allowed him to make his HBO debut. Saturday will be Crawford's third appearance on the premium network and he is very appreciative of the opportunity given to him.

"Big risk equals big rewards is how I look at it," said Crawford.  "It is a blessing (to be on HBO) and to get that call to be on a second time and then a third time is a real blessing.  There is no other way to describe it."
