Former two-time world junior middleweight titleholder Cornelius Bundrage stopped journeyman Antoine Elerson Saturday night at the Elks Lodge in Bonita Springs, Florida.

With the victory, Bundrage, who resides in Southfield, Michigan, improves to 37-6, 21 knockouts.

It was all Bundrage from the opening bell, battering Elerson, who offered very little in return. As the bout progressed, Elerson’s punch output dropped with each passing minute. After the end of round four, Elerson decided to remain on his stool.

Saturday’s fight marked Bundrage’s first since defeating veteran Juan Carlos Rojas by decision in June 2017. The 47-year-old has now won his last three bouts since losing his IBF title to Jermall Charlo in September 2015.

Bundrage first won the IBF world title in June 2011, defeating Sechel Powell by unanimous decision. He would successfully defend the title once before losing it to Ishe Smith in February 2013.

Elerson, who resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, drops to 4-26-3, 2 KOs. The 37-year-old has now lost seven of his last nine bouts.

Heavyweight Raphael Akpejiori stopped Jared Torgeson (1-4) of Moses Lake, Washington at 1:36 of the second round.

Akpejiori, who is originally from Lagos, Nigeria and now living and training in Miami, Florida, improves to 8-0, 8 KOs and has yet to fight past the second round.

Junior welterweight Nicholas Irizarry outboxed Leonardo Kenon over four rounds to win by unanimous decision. Irizarry, who resides in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendora, improves to 5-0, 2 KOs.

Kenon has now lost his last six bouts.

Albania-born junior middleweight Ermal Hadribeaj (5-0-1, 1 KO) defeated Oregon’s Dylan Carlson (1-2-1, 1 KO) by unanimous decision over six rounds.

In a minor upset on paper, junior featherweight Rensley Washington III (1-1) of Cincinnati, Ohio, won by split-decision over New Orleans’ Delvin McKinley (4-1, 4 KOs) over four rounds.

The card was promoted by Hard As Stone Promotions.
