Conrad Cummings has parted ways with the McGuigans and Cyclone Promotions.

The Coalisland middleweight revealed the news in a statement released on social media on Wednesday.

Cummings, the current WBO European champion, has a record of 11-1-1 with five early and has been out of the ring since March.

The 26-year-old said: “I would like to announce that I have parted company with Barry McGuigan as my manager, Shane McGuigan as my trainer and Cyclone Promotions as my promotional team.

“I want to thank Barry, Shane, all of the McGuigans and Cyclone Promotions for the opportunities they have offered me to date.”

Cummings, nicknamed ‘Mr Dynamite’, suffered his first defeat in his second-last outing against Ronny Mittag at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London.

And he had more to say on the matter as he confirmed the parting of ways with the team with whom he has been since his start in the paid code.

“After a recent meeting it was clear that our time has come to an end as a team. Also, after speaking with my family and closest around me I believe it is time to move on.

“I cannot wait to start the next chapter of my career and [be in] the big fights that lie ahead.

“I hope I still get the great support I have always had.

“Thank you and onwards and upwards.”

Further details regarding the movements of Cummings will be revealed in due course.
