John O’Donnell vs. Tamuka Muchapondwa will happen on February 16 at the Indigo at the O2. The fight has been mooted for several months and is finally set to happen, with the Board warning that final eliminator status for the British welterweight title will be withdrawn if it happens any later than the given date.

O’Donnell will take home 60 percent of the purse as he will also defend his English belt against Muchapondwa.

The British super-featherweight title has been relinquished by Martin Joseph Ward, who made three successive defences to keep the belt before winning the European title last December, and it is now set to be contested by Sam Bowen and Maxi Hughes after being put out to purse bids.

Jazza Dickens finally looks like he will get the opportunity to regain the British super-bantamweight title.

The former WBA Super 122-pound title challenger has been out of the ring since losing the Lonsdale belt via a technical decision against Tommy Ward at the First Direct Arena in Leeds last May.

Dickens, 26, has a ledger of 22-3 with seven early and will be hoping to capture his old title once more later on this year after the rematch between him and Ward was ordered.

Ward, who is undefeated, has made one defence of the belt since beating Dickens, against Sean Davis of Birmingham back in November 2017 in Newcastle, and must face his former rival again by the end of May.

Jason Cunningham will face Paul Economides in an eliminator for Ward’s British title on February 24 in Doncaster.

And the winner of Josh Wale’s British bantamweight title defence against Bobby Jenkinson, which will take place on February 2 at Ponds Forge Arena in Sheffield, has been ordered to face Ukashir Farooq, with the fight having been sent to purse bids.

In the circular for the English titles, it was revealed that Nathan Gorman has withdrawn from a clash with Nick Webb for the vacant English heavyweight title, just as Daniel Dubois had done previously.

Johnney Roye will promote Liam Conroy’s English light-heavyweight title defence against Miles Shinkwin on March 31 at the Guild Hall in Preston.

Dec Spelman will box Scott Westgarth on the aforementioned February 24 show at Doncaster Dome, promoted by Stefy Bull, in an official eliminator for the English light-heavyweight title, while the English cruiserweight belt is being contested by champion Arfan Iqbal and challenger Simon Vallily on the aforementioned Groves vs. Eubank Jr. card in Manchester.

At super-middleweight, Darryll Williams’ English title defence against Lennox Clarke has been put back out to purse bids, but that is unlikely to happen given the fact that Williams recently announced his retirement from the sport.

Andrew Robinson vs. Tyler Denny has been ordered in an official eliminator for the English middleweight title currently held by Elliott Matthews, though no purse bids were received, while the vacant English featherweight title is set to be at stake between Jordan Gill and Zahid Hussain after being put out to purse bids.

Sam O’Maison vs. Johnny Coyle has been put out to bids after Akeem Ennis-Brown vacated the English super-lightweight title and Jeff Saunders withdrew from the fight and Kayamba Prospere will meet Nathan Weise on March 3 at York Hall in an eliminator for the bauble.

Frank Warren will host Josh Kennedy’s English super-bantamweight title defence against Lucien Reid on a date and venue yet to be advised, the vacant English super-flyweight title clash between Loua Nassa and Bradley Watson is set for the Ponds Forge Arena in Sheffield on February 2 and Lee Appleyard’s English lightweight title defence against Marcus Ffrench is also in need of new particulars from Stefy Bull, with Myron Mills waiting in the wings for the winner.

Also, Isaac MacLeod has been pitted against Conor Benn in an eliminator for the English welterweight title. The fight has been put out to purse bids and must take place by the end of May.

In the Commonwealth title circular, it was revealed that Frank Warren won the purse bids for Matchroom-promoted Rocky Fielding’s defence of the super-middleweight title against Vijender Singh, with –– according to the notice –– the fight set to happen at the Copper Box Arena on March 31.

On the same show at the Copper Box Arena on March 31, Frank Warren is set to stage flyweight title holder Jay Harris’ defence against Dexter Marques and Liam Cameron’s middleweight title defence is set to take place against Elliott Matthews on April 14 at a venue to be confirmed in Sheffield, promoted by Dennis Hobson.

Boxing Scene, however, has been informed that Cameron vs. Matthews will instead take place on the same date at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London, on a Mo Prior-promoted show.

At European level, the vacant European flyweight title is set to be contested by British champion Andrew Selby and Vincent Legrand.

The fight has been sent to purse bids and they are due on January 29 if no prior agreement is reached.

And Sam Ball vs. Michael McGurk has been ordered for the vacant Celtic super-welterweight title, with promoter Sam Kynoch putting it on at Paisley’s Lagoon Leisure Centre on March 3.
