                         At Ninth Annual Awards Dinner and Celebrity  Reception

Newark, New Jersey – Amateur boxing organization, C.O.M.B.A.T.T., will honor Former World Heavyweight Champion, James Buster Douglas on Tuesday April 6, 2010 at the Robert Treat Hotel.  The former World Heavyweight Champions will join a list of noteworthy honorees receiving awards in the categories of global service, leadership, humanitarian, mentor,  boxing community service and the coveted, Founders Award.  Also among the honorees are Labor Union Presidents, Rahman Muhammad (Service Employees International Union), Gerald Owens ( International Brotherhood of Long Shore man Association), former Heavyweight contender,Randy Neumann, former Middleweight contender, Michael Olajide, IBF International Heavyweight champion, Tomasz Adamek, Morris Warner (Newark Housing Authority), Ralph Petrillo (New York State Athletic Commission), and Brian Adams, former Welterweight contender.  Recipients of the prestigious awards are being honored for their dedication and contributions to youth and the sport of boxing.  The Honorable Mayor, Wayne Smith of Irvington, New Jersey is the master of ceremonies.   The organization will give away dinner tickets to Newark’s local school youths to also enjoy the evening’s festivities.
