Promoter Ben Shalom of BOXXER indicates that Natasha Jonas could very well collide with undisputed world middleweight champion Claressa Shields in 2023.

Jonas, the WBC and WBO world champion at junior middleweight, will attempt to capture another belt when she faces IBF champion Marie-Eve Dicaire at the Manchester Arena on November 12, live on Sky Sports.

Shields was previously the undisputed world champion at 154. She saw action last month, when she became undisputed for a second time at 160-pounds with a dominant twelve round decision over amateur rival Savannah Marshall at the O2 Arena.

Shalom will certainly explore a potential Shields-Jonas encounter in the new year.

"It's a definite possibility," Shalom told Sky Sports News. "Claressa, now the biggest star in women's boxing, she's got options.

"But she sees that division and sees what a big star Tasha Jonas is, and she wants to come down 154lbs."

Jonas went up three weight divisions to claim her first junior middleweight world title by stopping Chris Namus in February. And then picked up the WBC belt in September with a decision win over Patricia Berghult in Liverpool.

Jonas could also explore moving down to welterweight to challenge undisputed champion Jessica McCaskill - who returns this weekend in Abu Dhabi when she faces undisputed junior welterweight champion Chantelle Cameron.

"For Tasha, she's got to win this one and then she can enjoy Christmas and see," Shalom added.

"She just wants the big fights, whether that's McCaskill - the winner of her fight this weekend, whether it's Katie Taylor, but ultimately she'll fight at 140, 147, or 154. Claressa Shields is another fight she wants. It's incredible, she'll take any fight, and we've seen that every time."
