Fedor Chudinov hit the ground running upon arriving in London for this weekend's showdown with Frank Buglioni. The unbeaten super middleweight held an open workout on Tuesday, vowing to the local media on hand of his intention to upset the local favorite ahead of Saturday's super middleweight clash at Wembley Arena in London.

“I’m here in London, I’m settled and I’m ready to fight,” said Chudinov, in a statement released through the press office of Queensberry Promotions, Buglioni's promoter and also handling this weekend's event. “All my hard training has been done and now I just have to focus on Saturday night and keeping hold of my world title, nothing is more important.”

Chudinov (13-0, 10KOs) claimed a secondary version of the super middleweight title with a points win over Felix Sturm in May. Saturday will mark the first defense of the belt, for which he has brought in Roy Jones - the legendary former four-division champ who is a jack of all trades these days - to help guide his training camp.

Buglioni (17-1-1, 13KOs) comes in riding a six-fight unbeaten streak, and fights for the third straight time at Wembley Arena. The 26-year old is coming off of a 5th round knockout win over Fernando Castaneda in July, a bout taken as means to keep active for his first career title shot.

“We’ve seen plenty of Frank Buglioni and I know what I have in front of me. He’s a good strong fighter but he will be found short at world championship level,” Chudinov believes. “It doesn’t matter where I fight in the world, a ring is a ring to me and I will do the job that I have to do and I will beat Buglioni.”

The bout airs live on BoxNation in the United Kingdom.
