Parc des Expositions in Nantes, France - In his third appearance of the year, top rated super middleweight contender Christian Mbilli (23-0, 20 KOs) continued to inch closer to a world title shot with a ten round unanimous decision over veteran Vaughn Alexander (17-7-1, 10 KOs).

Alexander, the older brother of former world champion Devon Alexander, was riding a two fight win streak - including last December's stunning upset decision win over Luis Arias.

Mbilli's power punches and workrate was too much for Alexander to deal with, but he was able to absorb punishment and made it to the final bell. Mbilli appeared to suffer some sort of leg injury in the seventh round, but he sucked it up and continued to pile up points until the final bell.

The scores were 100-90, 100-90 and 99-91.

With the vacant WBC silver welterweight title at stake, Souleymane Cissokho (16-0, 9 KOs) stayed unbeaten with a tough twelve round majority decision over Thulani Mbenge (19-2, 15 KOs).

In a fight with many close rounds, Cissokho had the more eye-catching connects. The scores were 114-114, 116-112, and 115-113.

Cissokho was only fighting for the second time in the year, with his last fight take place in March - where Cissokho had to get off the floor in the fourth round to work his way to a dominant ten round unanimous decision over Roberto Valenzuela Jr.
