Chris Jenkins will fight Johnny Garton for a second time in a couple of months.

The pair first met last March at the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, London.

Jenkins won on points that night, by margins of 117-112, 116-112 and 119-109, and took the British title from Garton.

He has since won the Commonwealth crown against Paddy Gallagher and defended both belts in a technical decision against Liam Taylor back in November.

And now, Boxing Scene understands ‘Rock ’N’ Rolla’ is set to meet Garton again at the O2 Arena, in the capital, on April 11.

The fight, which has yet to be formally announced by Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions, is expected to form part of the supporting cast to Daniel Dubois’ five-belt heavyweight clash against Joe Joyce.

Dubois, 22, will collide with 34-year-old Olympic silver medallist Joyce, exclusively live on BT Sport Box Office in the UK, in a defence of the British and Commonwealth titles. The WBO International and WBC Silver belts, owned by Peacock Gym-trained Dubois, and the vacant European title will also be at stake.

Garton, 32, has had just one fight since that defeat to Jenkins 11 months ago, on the same card as Jenkins’ technical decision back in November at the Arena Birmingham, when he outpointed Jordan Grannum over six rounds.

The remainder of the supporting cast has yet to be confirmed, but Boxing Scene understands Sunny Edwards, the British super-flyweight title holder, could return on the bill alongside former WBO light-heavyweight title challenger Anthony Yarde.

Further details will be revealed in due course.
