A deal has been finalized and the fight has been announced, as middleweight rivals Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Williams will collided in Cardiff on December 11, live on Sky Sports.

The contest has been set to take place at the Motorpoint Arena.

Last month, Eubank returned to the ring in Newcastle with a five round stoppage of Wanik Awdijan.

"Liam Williams has been saying a lot to try to catch my attention and bait me into fighting him," said Eubank.

"It’s now got to the point where everyone is asking me to shut him up, and on December 11, I’m going to give the people what they want. As I’ve said, I’m only involved in big fights from now on and this is the fight people want to see. They want to see if Williams can back up what he’s been saying - which he won’t.

"I’m on a mission towards world titles and Liam Williams is someone I’ve got to go through to get there. I’m looking forward to shutting him up."

As part of the card, Claressa Shields will make her UK debut when she defends her WBA, WBC and IBF world middleweight titles against Ema Kozin.

WBO middleweight champion Savannah Marshall will not be a part of the card. She suffered a hand injury in her most recent fight and will instead return to the ring in February 2022.

"This fight [between Eubank and Williams] will be incredible," said Ben Shalom, BOXXER founder and CEO. "They genuinely dislike each other, they both come forward non-stop and Eubank is heading into the dragon’s den to settle their dispute on Williams’ home soil.

"I’ll be amazed if this doesn’t turn out to be British boxing’s fight of the year."
