Sting Like A Bee Promotions (Duran Hill) presents IT’S GOING DOWN on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at PT’s Showclub, 1601 W. Evans Ave. in Denver, the main event featuring lightweight action with Denver’s own Manuel ’Manos’ Perez (22-11-1, 4 KO’s) vs Washington, D.C. native, DeMarcus ‘Chop Chop’ Corley (42-22-1, 25 KO’s).

A few tickets remain available but going fast by calling PT’s Showclub 303-934-9135 or Duran Hill 303-434-2836.

Arriving in Denver early Monday (yesterday) morning with manager/trainer Jeff Mayweather, Corley is intent on having a superb performance on May 16th with getting acclimated to the Mile High air a (excuse the pun) high priority.

The 5’7” tall southpaw and now 40 years-old DeMarcus ‘Chop Chop’ Corley boasts an impressive career that includes an amateur 1995 National Golden Gloves light welterweight title with USBA, WBO and NABF light welterweight titles part of his professional resume.

An engaging, respectful and personable young man, ‘Chop Chop’ Corley has memories of just how the altitude can indeed affect one after a previous Denver visit a few years back and says dealing with the altitude (this fight outdoors) demands arriving in plenty of time to get adjusted.

Being one of the many sparring partners helping prepare Floyd Mayweather, Jr. for his fight against Manny Pacquiao this past weekend has kept Corley away from his wife and children for the better part of 2 ½ months but Corley is certain the end result will make it worth the separation.

Understanding ‘the business of boxing’, Corley markets himself and has his own line of boxing gear which he proudly displayed that includes everything from hand wraps and sparring head gear to coordinated boxing shoes just a small part of what he has to offer. You can find his wide assortment of boxing gear and apparel at www.chopchopboxingapparel.com

Headquartered at A1 Boxing Gym in Aurora, 700 S. Buckley Road, while in Denver for the fight, the schedule of DeMarcus ‘Chop Chop’ Corley includes some sparring today at the A1 Boxing Gym with young lightweight Robert Rodriguez (7-5, 3 KO’s) from Greeley, beginning at 3:30PM.

There will be a ‘Media Day’ this Saturday in conjunction with Manny ‘Manos’ Perez at Grudge Training Center 303-432-8858, 5405 W. 56th Ave. in Arvada, specific times and information coming in the next few days.
