WBA super flyweight champion Román "Chocolatito" Gonzalez will travel to Mexico on Saturday, September 26 to finish his camp with his team, prior to his fight in the Aztec territory against Israel Gonzalez on a card where Juan Francisco "El Gallo" Estrada and Carlos "The Prince" Cuadras will collide in the main event for the WBC super flyweight title.

González who will fight in Mexico City on October 23 in his first defense of the WBA title, will head to Santa Fe, state of Mexico, with a team made up of Carlos Blandón , Marcos Caballero , Rafael Rojas and Luis González.

According to Franklin Herrera, Gonzalez will continue his preparation in the Temple Gym where he will spar with Leonardo and Eduardo Báez as well as Samuel Contreras Jr.

After completing two months of training at Coachella with Caballero on September 15, Chocolatito plans to run in the Parque Desierto de los Leones and then travel to Nevado de Toluca, a place that is known for the training camps of former Mexican champion Juan Manuel Márquez .

This was Roman's seventh camp at Coachella, where he had concentrated for six of his recent bouts in addition to his fight against Edgar Sosa in 2015 that he won by knockout. He also prepared in this Valley to challenge Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, Moisés Fuentes, Khalid Yafai, Diomel Diocos, Pedro Guevara, and another fight that was not carried out due to the injury of the Nicaraguan.

This will be the Central American champion's first fight in Mexico since he beat Juan Kantun by knockout in Tapachula in February 2014.
