“Mighty” Brook Sibrian is balancing a profession with a passion, while being co-signed by a future Hall of Famer Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez.

Sibrian is scheduled to return to action on April 20 and once again on a Tom Loeffler-promoted 360 Promotions card with this one taking place from the site of her last bout, the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.

On January 27, Sibrian picked up a third-round knockout over Nikkia Williams and the bout served as her first appearance on a 360 Promotions card.

In Santa Ynez, California, Gonzalez was in attendance.

“She is a very good fighter,” Gonzalez told BoxingScene of Sibrian. “If she takes care of herself, she will be a world champion. She is very disciplined, she is good.”

At 30-years-old, her career is just starting. She is only 2-0 as a pro with one knockout. Yet, the flyweight Sibrian is a part of a team that creates the custom ads on the Wall Street Journal. She works throughout the day balancing her busy work life with the boxing bug she recently caught.

She had taken Rumble Boxing classes. That was followed by a move to California. That move prompted walking into the 828 Boxing Gym in San Fernando, California.

Sibrian found her fiancé at the gym – professional boxer, Jose ‘Mega’ Soto – who now is her biggest advocate, serving roles from cook, nutritionist, trainer, to fiancé.

She started to train for amateur fights based on needing a goal. She had been an athlete her whole life, but needed a destination for her training. That led to a successful amateur career and a record of 22-3, making it to No. 1 in the nation at flyweight.

The couple eventually moved out to Coachella, California after Soto had been a recurring sparring partner for Gonzalez.

“I am the next big thing in women’s boxing, because I truly believe everything happens for a reason,” said Sibrian. “I am around the right people and great people – and it is just going to happen. You will just have to find out.”

Sibrian has an image, style and appeal that could garner non-traditional boxing fans.

360 Promotions is showcased on UFC Fight Pass and they also have Callum Walsh, who appears to potentially be a boxing crossover star. Walsh has fans in the UFC as well as the WWE universe.

The UFC has done very well with women’s MMA based on rivalries and personalities.

“We are entertainers at the end of the day we have a duty to entertain,” Sibrian explained. “We can’t ask people to spend their hard-earned money and come to a show and not give them that adrenaline or roller coaster of emotions. It is part of the duty of a fighter to put it on the line.

“I have the whole package, and I keep hearing it – so I have to believe it is true. I keep putting in the work where it counts most, in the ring.”
