It looks like HBO's final boxing broadcast will take place on December 8th and will feature super flyweight Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez and undefeated female welterweight champion, Cecilia Braekhus.

"We've had a tremendous relationship with HBO and we've done some great events with them,"said Tom Loeffler, who's company 360 Promotions will be staging this event.

"HBO was the platform that launched 'Triple G' (Gennady Golovkin) here in the United States, frankly worldwide once he got on HBO. 'Chocolatito' was a tremendous world champion but when he got on HBO it launched his career when he was considered the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world."

Braekhus (34-0, 9 KOs) on May 5th made history by becoming the first female boxer featured on HBO airwaves in defeating Kali Reis to retain her IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO, WBC world titles over ten rounds as the co-feature to Golovkin's second round stoppage of Vanes Martirosyan.

''So we're excited to bring back the best female  pound-for-pound fighter in the world and 'Chocolatito' who was the best male pound-for-pound fighter in the world," Loeffler said to BoxingScene.com on Wednesday afternoon.

As for where this card would take place, Loeffler stated, "We're looking at either Los Angeles or Las Vegas."

Gonzalez (47-2, 39 KOs), returning for the first time since suffering back to back defeats to WBC super flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, knocked out Moises Fuentes last month as part of the HBO Pay-Per-View undercard to the Canelo Alvarez-Golovkin rematch at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
