Heavyweight contender Derek Chisora has issued a reaction to the recent statements from WBC world champion Tyson Fury.

Fury had fought and beaten Chisora on two occasions in the past.

Over the years, the two boxers had become good friends.

However, Fury feels he was betrayed when Chisora openly backed Dillian Whyte to defeat him back in April. Chisora said he was willing to stake his own house on a Whyte victory.

The complete opposite happened, with Fury controlling the bout and knocking Whyte out in the sixth round.

"Me and Derek Chisora used to be chum buddies. I went to Monaco to support him. I went to Hamburg to support him,” Fury told talkSPORT Fight Night.

“Then, as soon as I have a fight he goes, ‘I’ll pick the other guy’. So, Derek Chisora can kiss my arse and if I see him I’m going to punch him in the face. After the fight, he came to the afterparty and said this, that, and the other, made a million excuses. At the end of the day, you don’t do that to your friends."

Chisora recently picked up a close points win in his rematch with Kubrat Pulev.

After that fight, he called for a showdown with former WBC world champion Deontay Wilder.

Chisora is staying firm on his desire to face Wilder - but he's also willing to settle his issues with Fury in the ring.

"Listen Frank Warren and the 'Gypsy King's posee, just tell me when and where or what time and i am there. I just want to fight, if you are a fighter you should fight everybody out there. It is just business it would be a great fight with Tyson. I have respect for Tyson and his family but if he wants to fight.... and if he doesn't I want to fight Deontay Wilder," Chisora told IFL TV.
