Derek Chisora is hoping that a UK grudge match between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte will get finalized and ultimately staged in the UK.

Chisora has faced both boxers, twice.

He lost a twelve round decision to Fury in their initial encounter in 2011 and then suffered a stoppage loss in the 2014 rematch.

Chisora would lose a controversial twelve round split decision to Whyte in their Fight of The Year war in 2016. And he was ahead on the cards when Whyte knocked him out in the eleventh round of the 2018 rematch.

Fury, who holds the WBC heavyweight title, retained the belt last month with a knockout of Deontay Wilder.

The World Boxing Council is expected to issue an important order at their upcoming annual convention - an order which directs Fury to make a mandatory defense against Whyte, who holds the WBC's interim-title.

Fury has not fought on UK soil since 2018, with his last five bouts taking place in United States.

Chisora feels it's time to see Fury back in a UK ring, with Whyte being the perfect opponent for the event.

“The fight should happen in Manchester or Wembley. It is about time British fans saw the Gypsy King back in the UK. And the fact it would be a defense against one of our own should make it a great fight,” Chisora said to The Sun.

Chisora, who is good friends with Anthony Joshua, would also like to see the British star's rematch with Oleksandr Usyk once again take place in a UK stadium.

“It will be a great fight and hopefully it will be back in the UK again. Right now Oleksandr is just keeping the belts warm, we don’t need to worry about that," Chisora said.
