The world super champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA) at bantamweight, the Panamanian Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno will defend his title against Dominican Juan Carlos Payano, on Friday September 26 in Mesquite, Texas.

Yesterday, "Chemito" Moreno opened the doors to his academy to allow the media to observe his training camp for his thirteenth defense.

Before starting his practice, "Chemito" Moreno held a press conference in which he discussed his preparation.

"I've prepared better than I have for previous fights, because I had more time to train. Remember that the first mention of this fight was for June, then August and was finally September. I never stopped training," said Moreno, 29-years-old.

Moreno is sparring with Franklin Manzanilla, Orlando Mosquera, Eusebio "Godzilla" Acevedo, among others.

"I sparred with fighters of different stances and different styles. This has been a very good camp," he said.

Moreno has a record of 35 wins (12 KO), two defeats and a draw, while Payano holds an impressive record of 15 wins (8 KO) and no defeats.
