Former WBA 'super' bantamweight champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno will explore some potential new fight options in the UK. After the World Boxing Association (WBA) denied his request for an immediate rematch with Dominican Juan Carlos Payano, who captured his title with a technical decision, the Panamanian boxer is going to pursue other opportunities.

According to his wife and manager Rouss Laguna, Moreno plans to sit ringside in Liverpool on November 22nd, when WBA "regular" bantamweight champion Jamie McDonnell defends his belt against Colombian Walberto Ramos.

"I'm not going to take a radical stand against the WBA. We respect their decision. We will not appeal it. What we are going to do now is go to England, on the evening of the McDonnell fight, to see the market and talk with promoters," Laguna said.
