With the pride of having made 13 defenses as a world champion before being dethroned, Anselmo 'Chemito' Moreno said his priority is to regain a world title in the bantamweight division.

With a record of 35 wins, 1 draw and 4 defeats, he is ready to restore himself to the world level. The now silver champion of the World Boxing Council wants to get back in the mix with the best fighters of his division.

In April Moreno snapped a two fight losing streak with a twelve round unanimous decision over Suriyan Sor Rungvisai to capture the WBC silver.

Moreno is still steaming over his decision loss to Shinsuke Yamanaka in Japan.

"I want to regain the championship I lost two years ago. Last year I saw the need to travel to Japan to face Shinsuke Yamanaka, due to the lack of support in having that fight take place in Panama. And they brazenly robbed me," Moreno said. "Since I'm a professional I have fought at 115 and 118 pounds. I have many years of being at 118 pounds and all the great champions who started with me rose to 122 and 126 pounds."

"[A lot of fighters decline] because they lose discipline and no longer want to run because they have car and left the gym. That was not my case, as I made 13 defenses and my run was serious. I have been fortunate and lucky and thanks to the Tourism Authority of Panama I was able to be crowned champion with the World Boxing Council. Without that help, I swear I would have had to travel to Thailand and I assure you I would have been robbed in the fight as I was in Japan."
