Panamanian Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno is expecting a decision in the coming days from the World Boxing Association (WBA). Moreno wrote a letter to sanctioning body to order and immediate rematch with WBA bantamweight champion Juan Carlos Payano. The request will reportedly be evaluated tomorrow.

Moreno, who held the title since 2008, lost the belt when the mandatory fight with Payano was cut short on September 26 in Mesquite, Texas. The ringside physician stopped the fight early, due to a horrific cut around the eye of Payano, which he suffered from an accidental clash of heads in the second round.

When the fight was stopped, it was sent to the scorecards and Payano captured the WBA crown with a technical decision. Moreno was initially going to move up in weight to 122-pounds, but plans to remain at 118 - for the moment - for a chance to get revenge on Payano.
