WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chávez Jr. (46-0-1, 32KOs) revealed to BoxingScene.com that it is very likely that sometime next week he will sit down with promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank to finalize the details of his fall HBO pay-per-view defense against Sergio Martínez (49-2-2, 28KOs), targeted for September 15 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Chávez, currently relaxing in his native Culiacán, told BoxingScene: "I hope to meet with Bob next week. It is necessary to define certain terms. I want this fight very much, on pay-per-view, but there are a few details that need defining," Chavez said.

A press conference is being targeted for July 10th in Los Angeles, with tour stops in Las Vegas, New York City and Mexico City.
