Chantelle Cameron was all business as she took part in her final press conference ahead of this weekend’s WBC super lightweight title defense against Melissa Hernandez.

Cameron (13-0, 7 KOs) puts her belt on the line against Hernandez (23-7-3, 7 KOs) at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on Saturday, on the undercard of Devin Haney’s WBC lightweight title fight against Jorge Linares, and will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN.

The final press conference took place on Thursday, and Cameron made it extremely clear that she’ll produce a performance that gets everybody talking.

Cameron said: “I’m delighted to be here and I can’t wait to get in there and put on a show. Everybody knows that I’m not much of a talker, I let my hands do the talking.

“I’m always spiteful, but there has been a bit more spice added to this, so now it’s almost time to get down to action.

“I’m not looking past Melissa. She’s a former world champion with a lot of experience, but I know that I’m the better fighter. I’ve got a long journey ahead of me and there is no stopping yet.”

Hernandez said: “You can expect fireworks on Saturday. Women’s boxing is here to stay and I was one of the pioneers. I’m here to prove that I still have it.

“The best part about being where I am now is that I worked hard for so long, and now I’m finally on these huge cards. I want to pay homage to all the women before me, and now we have women building empires in boxing.”
