Chantelle Cameron defended her WBC and IBF super lightweight titles with a wide unanimous decision over Victoria Bustos, of Argentina, in the chief support to Buatsi-Richards at the O2 Arena, London.

It was the same venue where Cameron unified her world titles last October by beating Mary McGee, but the struggle to pin down a fight for the undisputed title with Kali Reis since has proved frustrating.

Bustos had been a two-weight world champion and shared the ring with the likes of Katie Taylor and Cecelia Braekhus, but at 33 she didn’t look to have the ambitions or skills to bother Cameron, who completely dominated.

The fight had the misfortune to be in the ring after the Alen Babic-Adam Balski thriller, but after Cameron boxed her way into an early lead, both got a bit more adventurous as they started to open up in the third round.

But it was Cameron in complete control and, by the fifth round, she was doing her party tricks, landing two right uppercuts in a row, while moving and raining punches down on Bustos.

By the ninth round, Bustos seemed to have given up any hope, if she ever had any, of winning, as she sported a large swelling under her right eye. Bustos gave it a go in the last, but Cameron simply outgunned her, as she did throughout, cleaning out the scorecards by 100-90.
