One of Thailand’s rising stars will be in action this Saturday. Chanoi Worawut will put his undefeated record on the line against Alvin Medurat with the vacant WBC Asia 122lbs title on the line.

Chanoi (7-0-1) is represented by Nakornluang Boxing Promotion whose stable includes former WBC 115lbs champion Sriksaket Sor Rungvisai. Like most Thai fighters he started Muay Thai at an early age, and made a name for himself after putting on some very entertaining fights at the Channel 7 stadium.

He made his pro boxing debut in 2018 and has spent his entire career competing on the Workpoint TV event, which is now broadcast internationally by DAZN. The closest thing to a blemish on his record came last November when he fought to a draw with fellow Thai Rakniran Muadransarakam.

Medura (9-4) has been in with some tough Japanese fighters. The Filipino will be fighting outside of his homeland for the fourth time, has never been stopped and looks set to provide an interesting examination of Chanoi’s world title aspirations.

The card also features an all Thai flyweight bout pitting Samartlek Kokietgym (34-11-1) against Thananchai Charunphak (5-1). The latter is only 19 while the former made his debut in 2010 and once challenged Naoya Inoue for the WBC 108lbs title.
