Auditorio Municipal, Tijuana, Baja California - Cesar "Corazón" Juárez had no contemplations when his fight began. He went to the front and looked for the knockout. And he found it. Fast and blunt.

Juárez (20-5-0, 15 KOs) scored a brutal third-round knockout over Filipino challenger Eugene "Rambo" Lagos (19-4-0, 7 KO's), with a powerful left that put the boxer down on canvas and completely unconscious.

There was a moment of tension and drama in the ring as the Filipino fighter did not move, but he was able answer questions without problems and was able to leave the ring on his own feet.

Juarez continues to demonstrate his dangerous punching power. He wants to secure a world title shot as soon as possible.

On the undercard, Jose "Chon" Zepeda had the talent to dominate a complicated fight, where the styles clashed, and in the fifth round there a clash of heads that opened up a cut around the eye of opponent Jesus Silveyra. The ringside doctor stopped the fight and sent the bout to the scorecards.

Zepeda (26-1-0, 21 KO's) did the better boxing, landed the best hits and was the fighter who forced the action. Silveyra (18-3-1, 8 KO's) looked for the counterattacks and although he connected in a casual way, he couldn't close his attacks with any combinations of substance.

After the fight was stopped, all three scorecards favored Zepeda, with tallies of of 49-46 49-45 and 48-46.

In a fierce fight, former world champion Hernan "Tyson" Márquez saw a well deserved win snatched away in his fight with Tijuana prospect Jose Briegel Quirino, after the judges scored their eight round bout as a draw.

"Tyson" (41-8-2, 29 KO's) hit the power shots and dominated the short fight. He dropped Quirino twice to the canvas, in the first round with a left  and in the fifth with a left-handed hook to the chin.

Although Quirino (14-2-1 5 KO's) looked good in the fight at distance and connected quantity and variety, he never had Marquez in any danger.

At the end of the eight rounds, the judges scored 76-74 for Quirino, 76-75 for Marquez and 76-76, which resulted in the official draw result.

The fans, who at first supported Quirino, booed the verdict and started chants of "Tyson, Tyson."
