Boston Boxing Promotions has announced the addition of undefeated heavyweight Cassius Chaney (17-0, 11 KO's) to the Thanksgiving Eve Boxing Spectacular at the Castleton in Windham, New Hampshire on Wednesday, November 27th.  Chaney will take on Oklahoma's Nick Jones (7-2, 5 KO's) in a scheduled eight-round fight.

Chaney, one of the hottest prospects in boxing, is promoted by Main Events and has achieved notoriety for back-to-back, highlight-reel knockouts in recent fights.

This past summer, he knocked his opponent, Joel Caudle, clear out of the ring face-first in a video clip that spread across social media like wildfire. In his most recent outing, he scored a knockout over former cruiserweight world title challenger Santander Silgado in just 63 seconds. The impressive performance put many in the boxing world on notice.

“Thanks to my promoter, Main Events, for getting me right back in the ring,” said Chaney. “I’ve seen that Nick Jones has boxed quality opposition and I’m happy to be facing him. On November 27th, I’m looking to show more improvement and to continue my rise to be undisputed heavyweight champion. The more experience I get, the better I will be.” He added, “The big guys are coming to invade New Hampshire and hopefully I can be the one to capture more eyes in the Northeast.”

Nick Jones is no stranger to taking on unbeaten opponents. In 2016, he scored a decision win over the previously undefeated Jepothy Heath to win the Oklahoma State Heavyweight Championship. The following year he put an exclamation mark on the rematch, rendering the judges’ jobs useless by scoring an emphatic third-round knockout. The last four opponents Jones has defeated have a combined record of 41-10-1.

When asked about the fight Jones simply stated, “I'm coming to fight. I'm just a poor country boy coming to kick some ass and I will shine.”
