INTERNATIONAL Boxing Federation Championship Committee chairman Lindsey Tucker is waiting for the report of IBF supervisor Anibal Miramontes on the ugly riot that broke out after Filipino Johnriel Casimero won the light flyweight interim title with a 10th-round technical knockout of former champion Luis Lazarte at Estadio Club Once Unidos, Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina on Saturday.

Tucker said international promoter and matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz, who is a partner of Casimero’s promoter Sammy Gello-ani, called him regarding the incident but gave no details of their conversation.

“Don’t blame the IBF if some drunk fans started a riot and injured Casimero, his camp and the IBF officials,” Tucker told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard.

Asked whether the IBF would hold the Argentine Commission responsible in any way, Tucker said: “The only one that is licensed with the IBF is the promoter (Osvaldo Rivero). I don’t even know if he started the riot, participated in the riot or tried to stop the riot.”

The IBF executive promised that after the IBF receives all the facts, “we will speak with our lawyer and the board of directors.”

At the same time, Tucker said that the IBF champion is Ulises Solis, whose mandatory defense was due on or before Jan. 31, 2012. However, Tucker said they were told that Solis’ jaw was broken in two places by Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.
