BURBANK - Junior lightweight Casey Ramos bounced back from a defeat in his last bout, winning a hard-fought unanimous decision over 10 rounds over Miguel Beltran.

Ramos improves to 24-1, with 6 KOs, while Beltran, a former world title challenger, drops to 31-6, with 21 KOs.

Beltran was the busier fighter of the two during the first half of the fight. The action opened up during the middle rounds, with both fighters providing entertaining exchanges for those in attendance at Marriott Convention Center.

Having to deal with a cut since round five, Ramos increased his punch output during the final three rounds of the fight, scoring with left hooks and the occasional right hand to the head of Beltran.

Scores were 96-94, 96-94, and 97-93 in favor of Ramos.

Junior lightweight prospect Erick De Leon stopped former world title challenger Daulis Prescott in round three. With trainer Robert Garcia in his corner, De Le Leon (16-0, with 10 KOs) outworked Prescott early and often in the fight. A barrage of punches dropped Prescott near the end of the second round. De Leon went on the attack early in the third round, pressing the action and backing Prescott (30-4, with 23 KOs) up. Prescott fell to the canvas, where referee Jack Reiss administered an eight-count. After Prescott stood up, he complained of pain in his left arm. A ringside physician checked on Prescott, but referee Jack Reiss stopped the bout at 59 seconds.

Arnold Barboza systematically broke Markus Morris down, dropping him three times en route to a fifth round knockout victory. Morris (10-3, with 6 KOs) came to fight, but Barboza's punches began to have their effect by the third round. Barboza (16-0, with 6 KOs) dropped Morris twice in round four and ended matters in round five with a barrage of punches to the head. Referee Jack Reiss stopped the bout at 46 seconds.

In junior middleweight action, Jesse Martinez (6-0, with 3 KOs) survived an early onslaught from Somner Martin (6-5, with 4 KOs) to earn a stoppage win at 2:20 of round one.

Junior featherweight Robert Ochoa (2-0, with 1 KO) won a four round unanimous decision over Guadalupe Arroyo (2-4). Scores were 40-36, 4036, and 39-37 in favor of Ochoa.

Junior welterweight Ashkat Ualikhanov (2-1, with 2 KOs) stopped Eric Fowler (0-2) at 1:49 of round two.

In the opening bout of the Top Rank card, junior lightweight Dominic Serna was successful in his pro debut, stopping Alexander Acuna (1-1) at 1:31 of round three.
