With a stellar fight that is expected to involve a lot of action and constant emotions, between Carlos Ocampo and Abraham Juarez, Zanfer Promotions will start their 2021 season on Saturday, January 16, at the Grand Hotel Tijuana, in an evening that will be broadcast by Azteca 7.

Ocampo (28-1, 18 KO's) will face “Pitbull” Juárez (20-6, 8 KO's) over ten rounds at super welterweight.

Since he lost his undefeated record in a world title fight against Errol Spence in June 2018, “Chema” moved up to 154-pounds and has posted five victories, four of them by way of knockout.

Now he will face Juárez, who fought in places like Canada, France and Germany, and faced opponents such as Kazakh boxer Sadriddin Akhmedov, who won more than 200 amateur fights, 2016 Olympian Cristian Mbilli, and European champion and 2017 amateur bronze medalist, Abass Baraou.

The co-feature, fought over eight rounds at welterweight, will match two natural knockout artists, in a fight that could certainly end early.

Sinaloan Jorge “Chino” Garcia (18-2, 16 KO's) goes against the undefeated Tijuana native José “Berna” Lozano (8-0, 8 KO's), in a fight with very similar styles, since they are boxers who like to exchange punches in the center of the ring.

Of the 16 knockouts that he presents, Garcia has scored 11  of them within the first three rounds, while Lozano's case is impressive, since his 8 victories have all been in the first round. Even in his most recent fight, last October, he finished off Adán Caro in 48 seconds in Tijuana.

Complementing the card, a six round bout in the super featherweight division where Tijuana's Humberto Galindo (12-0-1, 9 KO's) will risk his undefeated record against Eliot Chávez (8-3-1, 4 KO's) from Coahuila.

Galindo, 21 years old, did not fight in 2020, and for the first time he will face a opponent with more than 5 victories. Chávez has an advantage when it comes to recent activity, since he won by knockout in the two fights he made in 2020.
