Unbeaten welterweight Carlos Ocampo won a wide ten round unanimous decision over Daniel Echevarria (21-4, 18 KOs) on Saturday night in the main event of a Zanfer Promotions event. All three judges scored it 100-89.

The 10 round bout took place at the Gimnasio Municipal Gustavo Diaz Ordaz in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico.

Ocampo (21-0, 12 KOs) was victorious in his last bout on August 20, grinding out a 10 round unanimous decision over Alvaro Robles.

Ocampo, who resides in Ensenada and is ranked number eight by the IBF, has defeated the likes of Jorge Paez, Jr. and Johnny Navarrete.

Echevarria suffered his first loss as a pro to Paez in August of 2015. He followed that fight with a technical knockout win over Abner Lopez five months later.

His most recent, notable loss was a third round knockout defeat to Fernando Carcamo on February 13.

Lightweight Carlos Diaz Ramirez (22-0, 10 KOs) had more than he could almost handle, in winning a close ten round unanimous majority decision over Gabriel Pina (14-13-5, 6 KOs). The fight opened up the Azteca TV telecast. The scores were 97-93, 97-93 and 95-95. Diaz was in trouble during the fourth round but managed to recover and fought Diaz the rest of the way.
