At the Britania club in Chihuahua City, Chihuahua, Mexico, fans were treated to a fight with many exchanges as world title challenger Carlos "Chema" Ocampo returned to the path of victory by knocking out a courageous Chihuahuan rival Jesus "Kid Kick" Rojas by knockout at 2:14 of the third round in a super welterweight clash set for ten rounds.

Ocampo (23-1-0, 14 KO's) started very aggressive from the same first round and he was connecting on Rojas (12-5-2, 10 KO's), who endured the attacks, but in the second he began to respond back which resulted in an exciting fight.

In the third jump, Ocampo connected with a wild hook to the liver of Rojas, who fell to the canvas and could not get up to as the referee counted him out.

It was Ocampo's first fight since getting knocked out in one round by IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence back in June in Texas.

In the main event of the card, Anabel "Avispa" Ortiz imposed her experience to retain, for the tenth round, her WBA world title over a tough Venezuelan challenger Jenifer ¨Negrita¨ León in the stellar fight.

The event was staged by Zanfer in association with 2 M Promotions and Boxing Club Promotions and it was an Azteca 7, La Casa del Boxeo broadcast.

The score of the judges were: 99-93, 99-91 and 98-92 all in favor of Ortiz (28-3-0, 4 KO's), who showed up in this more aggressive fight against a brave Leon (10-1, 6 KOs) who lost her unbeaten record in a dignified manner.

Ortiz, 32, suffered a cut below the left eyebrow in the seventh round after a head-butt.

The corner knew how to control the wound and Anabel continued to dominate the fight.

"We did the job we planned, the Venezuelan had power, but we could dominate her, I think her lack of experience caused the head-butting and the injury, but we came out triumphant. I want to unify," said the capital's fighter.
