Carlos "Chema" Ocampo (26-1, 16 KO's) looked to be in great shape in beating Venezuelan Adrián "Morochito" Pérez (18-7, 13 KO's) by technical knockout and declared himself ready to once again search for a world title opportunity but now in the super welterweight division.

“El Chema” punished “Morochito” enormously from the moment the fight began with a strong combinations of punches; It was in the fifth round when he sent him to the canvas with a straight right, although the Venezuela got up.

It was here that Ocampo came forward to end the fight and threw himself in front of his opponent with punches that were doing enough damage to force the referee to stop the fight at 1:55 of the fifth round.

Ocampo stated that he would like to look for a new opportunity for a world title but now in this new division where he feels more comfortable.

"We met the goal of getting one more victory, I felt very good inside the ring and there are 3 fights that I did at this weight and now I want to fight for a world title next year in this division," Ocampo said.

With great force, hot prospect Bryan “The Kid” Figueroa (17-1, 8 Ko's) from Tijuana, passed a tough test by defeating former undefeated Andrey “Ghost” Robles (8-1-0) by technical knockout at 2:44 of the fourth round in the semi-main evenet of the evening.

After a quiet start where both fighters came out very cautious, it was in the fourth round when Figueroa connected with a burst of punches to the face and body of his opponent to send him to the canvas. He got up and overcame the referee's count - but "The Kid" finished off the "Ghost" - who had no answer which forced the referee to stop the fight.

The great prospect of Ensenada, Baja California, Rubén “Pollito” Aguilar (6-0, 4 KO's) ended his rival Reynaldo “Killer” León (8-3, 7 KO's) at 2:32 minutes of the first round after knocking him down three times.
