Junior middleweight contender Carlos Molina (19-5-2, 6KOs) is shocked with Saturday's disqualification loss to James Kirkland (31-1, 27KOs), which took place on Saturday night at Reliant Arena in Houston, Texas.

Molina was ahead on the scorecards, when Kirkland knocked him down at the very end of the tenth round. The bell rang to signal the end of the round and Molina was already on his feet for several seconds - when one of Molina's cornermen briefly entered the ring and quickly stepped out - and in a very controversial call - referee Jon Schorle issued a disqualification call.

"I trained for four months. For something like this to happen in a matter of minutes, it's terrible. All my hard, I've been waiting for this opportunity for ten years. For something like this to happen to you, its the worst. Lets just do it again," Molina said.

"I felt good. I trained for fifteen rounds and I was ready to go. I was not hurt at all. I was leaning in and I guess I got caught. I got up right away and I felt good. I was ready to go. We were going to fight him. They thought we were just going to run or something. That's not how I come to fight. I came to pressure him, push him, push him back, work his body. That's what we were doing."
