WBC super flyweight champion Carlos Cuadras is regally determined to continue and confirm his reign in front of his loyal and subjective fans in Sinaloa.

On September 10th in Guamuchil, Sinaloa, the former gold medalist at Pan American Games,  will grant the first defense of his WBC belt to precocious would be usurper Jose "Sugar" Salgado, ranked #3 by the WBC at the super flyweight division. The bout promises to be a divine right of kings.

 Salgado (34-2-1, 27 KO), has eight fights in a row without being defeated, three of them by knockout. “Sugar” represents a bitter test for Cuadras, who's determined to build a boxing dynasty, fit for an Emperor?

Caudras (30-0, 24 KOs), his currently training in Culiacan, Sinaloa, guided by the supervision of Rodolfo Chavez, at the Mr. Knockout Gym in Culiacan,-,the same in which JC Chavez trained.

"Honestly, I am training exceptionally hard. We're all too well aware that as champion, you can not take a single step backwards. We have to prove against each and every opponent why I am the champion," Cuadras said.

"We are very excited about the chance to fight in my land, Guamuchil. State and local authorities have been very supportive. Now it's my turn to prove that Sinaloa has a champion that will remain for a very long time."
