WBA interim-junior welterweght king Pablo Cesar Cano (21-1, 20KOs) is taking no chances with his upcoming challenge of Paul Malignaggi, the welterweight champion of the World Boxing Association. The event is taking place on October 20th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Right now in training camp, Cano is working on speed and cutting off the ring. He wants to avoid being the victim of a hometown decision and plans to make it a fight from the first round.

"I'm going to be very fast, because the style of Malignaggi is complicated and he will move away a lot. We must be quick and accurate. I know that I would have to knock him out to avoid a bad decision, since he is from [New York] and the public will favor him. It doesn't scare me to fight in the house of my opponent, because ultimately only Paul and myself will be in the ring. He has quick combinations and good leg movement, so I have to fight smart," Cano said.
