Chepo Reynoso, trainer of WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (41-0-1, 30KOs), expects a very tough task when his boxer steps in the ring with WBA king Austin Trout (26-0, 14KOs). Last week Canelo revealed that he expects to face Trout on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Floyd Mayweather Jr. will headline the show, likely in a mandatory fight against Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero.

"We are pleased with the choice of opponent. Trout is an attractive fighter, a world champion, undefeated, he took the world title from Rigoberto Alvarez and he's coming off a victory over [Miguel] Cotto. [Trout] is young, ambitious, a lefty, intelligent and he will surely be difficult," Chepo said.

"At this point, all of opponents are complicated, but we want to show that 'Canelo' is a complete fighter and he has to face everyone that you put in front of him. Trout is a fighter who knows how to handle himself in fights, who thinks in the ring, and the proof is the performance that he displayed against Miguel Cotto. "

Canelo has been training in his native Guadalajara, but on the 26th of this month he will travel to the United States, where he begins the most intense period of his camp in Los Angeles.

"The idea is that first we are going to go to Mexico City, to do some interviews, and then travel to Texas where we have some commitments to fulfill. From there we will fly to Los Angeles to begin preparation on this fight," said Chepo.
