The World Boxing Association (WBA) spoke to four of their world champions to obtain their analysis and predictions for this Saturday’s fight between undisputed super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol, which will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Canelo, who captured world titles four weight classes, will move up to 175-pounds for only the second time in his career.

Unified lightweight champion George Kambosos, featherweight champion Leigh Wood, super flyweight Joshua Franco and super Featherweight champ Roger Gutierrez gave their takes on the intriguing match.

Kambosos believes Canelo will win by unanimous decision, “I think he will box very intelligently and tear Bivol apart round by round. I think Bivol has a solid jaw and so he will go the distance and test Canelo several times, but he won’t have enough artillery to beat him.”

Leigh Wood tips the scales towards the Mexican star to dethrone Bivol, “I’m predicting a Canelo victory but it may be tough at times, but I think he will do it. He will be making adjustments."

For his part, Franco also believes Canelo will come out with his hands up. - “My prediction is that Canelo will win by decision. I see Canelo winning because of his experience and his IQ in the ring. Although it won’t be easy."

Finally, Gutierrez agreed with the opinion of the other titleholders and sided with Canelo for this week’s bout.

“Canelo will win. It is one of the toughest fights he will have but he is at his best, very strong and very complete. He will win by decision because Bivol is very strong too and I’m sure it will be a war, but I’ll take Canelo,” said the Venezuelan boxer.
