Bryan Perez wants to face the top fighters at 175 pounds. According to him and his promoters, do they want to face him.

While Perez waits for a big fight, he will face Likar Ramos in a stay-busy fight tonight at the Coliseo Carlos ‘Teo’ Cruz in his hometown of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The 10-round bout will headline a Reyes Boxing Inc. card that will stream live on the ED2 TIMEBOX YouTube page (7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT).

Perez (15-1, 10 knockouts) suffered his only defeat at the hands of Felix Valera in November 2018 by a close unanimous decision. He avenged the loss by defeating Valera on March 12 by dropping him three times to earn a hard-fought unanimous decision.

In his last bout on June 25, the 30-year-old stopped Francisco Cordero after round 4.

Should Perez earn the win tonight, promoter Michael Reyes hopes he can line up a fight between Perez and other top fighters in the division. According to Reyes, that is easier said than done.

“Bryan Perez is going to be a world champion, without question,” Reyes told Boxingscene Thursday night. It’s not about it will, it’s more about when.

“We’ve called out Anthony Yarde and Maxim Vlasov. In my opinion, Perez is a top-5 light heavyweight.”

Sandoval (15-17-1, 12 KOs), who also resides in Barranquilla, was stopped by gatekeeper Hevinson Herrera in his last bout on September 10. The 29-year-old has lost 12 of his last 13 bouts.

Featherweight Yeyery Castillo Avila (10-0, 8 KOs), who also resides in La Romana, will face Colombia’s Euclides Carcamo (4-5, 3 KOs) in an eight-round bout.

Medina and Castillo are also promoted by Reyes.
