Later tonight, Adrien Broner will go for his fourth world title in his home state of Ohio. He faces Russia's Khabib Allakhverdiev at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati.

Broner (30-2, 22 KOs), who captured titles at super featherweight, lightweight and welterweight, battles Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9 KOs) - a former WBA "regular" 140-pound champion - in the main event of a  Showtime (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT) card.

The vacant WBA 'regular' junior welterweight world title will be at stake.

Broner is coming back from his second career defeat, which took place in June at the hands of former welterweight champion Shawn Porter. Both of Broner's career defeats have take place in the welterweight division. The first came in December 2013 when he faced Marcos Maidana.

While being interviewed by Showtime's Mark Kriegel, Broner said his main goal was still in place - to become the number one star in the sport.  Now with his close friend Floyd Mayweather Jr. announcing his retirement last month, Broner is fixated on achieving that goal.

After reflecting on the loss to Porter, Broner rededicated himself to boxing and plans to show that newfound dedication later tonight. He displayed sparks of his new path at the official weigin, when he weighed in at a very trim 138.5-pounds.

"I should be the next guy to take over this boxing game - point blank, period," Broner said. "Don't get me wrong I'm still AB - always ballin. But this Adrien Broner, in the second half of my career, I'm going to be about business and I'm going to be about boxing."
