Brandun Lee produced another impressive stoppage Friday night.

The unbeaten junior welterweight prospect extended his knockout streak to 10 when he overwhelmed Camilo Prieto with a flurry of power punches in the third round. Referee Mark Nelson stepped between them to stop their scheduled 10-rounder at 2:34 of the third round.

The 20-year-old Lee, of La Quinta, California, improved to 19-0 and recorded his 17th knockout in the main event of a four-fight installment of Showtime’s “ShoBox: The New Generation” series. None of the fights during his 10-fight knockout streak have gone beyond the third round.

Before Friday night, Miami’s Prieto (15-3, 10 KOs) had not been knocked out in any of his first 17 professional fights. He had lost only a pair of four-round decisions prior to Lee beating him by technical knockout.

The entire Lee-Prieto card was contested without fans in the venue as a precaution to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Lee looked like he would stop Prieto almost as soon as their bout began.

By the third round, Lee hammered away at a mostly defenseless Prieto. A straight left by Lee staggered Prieto with 1:15 to go in the third.

Prieto retreated, but Lee followed him and landed numerous flush punches to his head. Eventually, Nelson had seen enough and stopped their one-sided bout.

A right by Lee landed to the top of Prieto’s head just after the halfway point of the second round. A right-left combination by Lee late in the second round caught Prieto as well.

An overhand by Lee buckled Prieto’s legs with 28 seconds to go in the first round. Lee followed up with another flush right that impacted Prieto.
