Unbeaten heavyweight Brandon Moore will begin a new chapter of his career tonight.

Moore will face Elijah McCall in an eight-round bout at the Wyndham Orlando Resort and Conference Center in Kissimmee, Florida (BXNGTV.com/ 7:30 p.m. ET/ 4:30 p.m. PT).

The 29-year-old Moore (11-0 1 NC, 7 knockouts), who resides in nearby Lakeland, has not fought since facing Curtis Harper on April 2 of last year. The original result was a one-sided decision win for Moore, but was later changed to a no-decision.

Moore has not fought in recent months due to promotional issues with the now-defunct Probellum banner. He is co-managed by Kevin Connolly and Ryan Rickey, who believes his charge has the capability of going far in the sport.

“Brandon’s movement coincidentally mimics that of Lennox Lewis and is perhaps even more athletic,” Rickey told BoxingScene earlier this week. “He had a short amateur career, winning a national title and becoming an Olympic alternate. He recently did camp with unbeaten Fraser Clarke.”

Moore has also been in the camps and has sparred with Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.

McCall (12-3-1, 11 KOs), who resides in Martinsville, Virginia, is the son of former world heavyweight titleholder Oliver McCall. Saturday will mark his first fight since a first round knockout victory over Ricky Thompson in November 2013.

Prior to the win over Thompson, the 35-year-old suffered back-to-back losses to Andy Ruiz and Marcin Rekowski, then unbeaten prospects.

Rickey also has another fighter he manages that will appear on the Boxlite Promotions card.

Light heavyweight Damazion Vanhouter will square off against Robert Burwell in a six-round bout.

Vanhouter (3-0, 2 KOs), an 18-year-old who resides in nearby Safety Harbor, stopped Brad Ragan in the opening round of his last fight on March 11. He is a recent high school graduate and has been in camp with Keith Thurman, who gave the unbeaten fighter praise for his skill-set and ability.

“Damazion recently wrapped up camp with Edgar Berlanga,” said Rickey. “Since turning pro at age 17, he has grown nearly a foot and has jumped three weight divisions. He’s also been in camp with Gennadiy Golovkin. We all think he will ultimately be a heavyweight.

Vanhouter was also an amateur standout.

Burwell (10-8, 3 KOs), who resides in Orlando, was stopped by Juan Carrillo in his last bout on February 17. The 32-year-old has lost five of his last six bouts.
