Cecilia Braekhus and Jessica McCaskill are set to make HERstory.

The pair of reigning unified titlists both made weight for their 10-round clash, which will mark the first ever female bout to headline a DAZN livestream from the United States. The bout tops a five-fight card which takes place Saturday evening from a makeshift outdoor venue in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Braekhus (36-0, 9KOs) checked in right at the 145-pound catchweight limit in attempting a record 26th defense of at least one title. McCaskill (8-2, 3KOs) registered a fighting fit 144.4 pounds in her first career fight above junior welterweight.

More history is on the line with the fight itself, with Braekhus aiming to make title defenses than any other champion, male or female. The long-reigning undisputed welterweight queen from Bergen, Norway by way of Cartagena, Colombia has held at least one welterweight belt since March 2009, outpointing unbeaten Vinni Skovgaard to win two vacant belts. Full undisputed status came following a 10-round shutout of Ivana Habazin in September 2014.

In her last fight, Braekhus scored a 10-round unanimous decision win over Victoria Bustos last November in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Chicago’s McCaskill (8-2, 3KOs) has won three straight, all coming at the junior welterweight limit following a hard-fought 10-round lightweight title fight loss to Ireland’s Katie Taylor—now the undisputed lightweight queen—in December 2017. McCaskill claimed two separate 140-pound titles in as many fights, beginning with a 10-round win over Erica Farias in October 2018—on the first ever DAZN-USA show to air from the states—followed by a title-unifying decision win over Anahi Ester Sanchez in their 10-round war last May.

McCaskill scored a repeat win over Farias last October, in the very same Wintrust Arena in her hometown which saw the start of her current title reign.

The evening’s chief support will position the winner for a shot at the junior middleweight champion.

Uzbekistan’s Israil Madrimov (5-0, 5KOs) weighed a trim and fit 153.6 for his 10-round title eliminator contest versus Louisiana’s Eric Walker, who hit the scale at a shredded 153.2 pounds. At stake is a mandatory World Boxing Association (WBA) 154-pound title fight.

The current “Super” champion is Jeison Rosario who also holds the IBF/WBO/IBO titles and will next face WBC champ Jermell Charlo on September 26th for the undisputed championship. WBA “Regular” champion Erislandy Lara is due to make his first defense versus Greg Vendetti, taking place August 29th in Los Angeles.
