Erick “Mini-Pacman” Rosa (5-0) is certain that he will be able to defeat Thammanoon Niyomtrong when they square off on March 1st. The fight was ordered at last month’s WBA convention in Orlando.

The fight will take place in Niyomtrong’s native Thailand and will be a consolidation of Rosa’s and the fighter better known in the United States as Knockout C.P. Freshmart’s (24-0) WBA minimum weight titles.

Rosa is currently in Las Vegas where he is trained by Bob Santos. They are both very confident of dethroning the sport’s longest reigning champion.

“I’m a world champion for a reason.  I’m ready to fight anyone, anytime and any place,” Rosa told BoxingScene.com.  “He is a good fighter but on March 1st I will show everyone why I am the best fighter in the division.”

Santos is just as confident that his fighter will emerge victorious.

“C.P. Freshmart is a very good fighter but Mini-Pacman will show why he is better. This will be the fight that puts him one everyone’s radar,” Santos explained.

Rosa is part of Santos’ loaded stable of fighters that also includes Carlos Adames, Alberto Puello, Hector Luis Garcia, Lenier Pero, and several others.

The Dominican Republic native was last in action in December, 2021 when he defeated Victorio Salazar by split decision.

Freshmart was last in the ring in July when he outpointed Wanheng “TBE” Meenayothin.
